Partnership Terms

The terms governing participation in the Humanity First UK Corporate Partnership Programme.

These terms set out the basis on which businesses take part in the Humanity First UK Corporate Partnership Programme. By applying to join, being accepted into, or participating in the Programme, your organisation agrees to these terms.

1. Purpose

The purpose of the Humanity First UK Partnership Programme is to create mutually beneficial relationships between Humanity First UK and businesses that share our commitment to serving humanity and supporting communities in need.

Participation in the Partnership Programme does not create any legal partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, employment relationship, authority to act on behalf of Humanity First UK, or endorsement by Humanity First UK of the participating organisation or its products or services.

2. Eligibility

Businesses joining the programme must:

  • Operate lawfully within the UK and/or their jurisdiction.
  • Conduct business ethically and responsibly.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Not engage in activities likely to damage the reputation of Humanity First UK.
  • Provide any information reasonably requested by Humanity First UK to assess eligibility or reputational suitability.

Humanity First UK reserves the right to decline, suspend or terminate any partnership at its sole discretion.

3. Use of Humanity First Branding

Businesses may only use Humanity First UK names, logos, branding, charity registration details or partnership references with prior written approval and in accordance with any brand guidelines or instructions provided by Humanity First UK.

The following are prohibited:

  • Altering Humanity First branding.
  • Using Humanity First branding in a misleading manner.
  • Suggesting endorsement of products or services.
  • Using Humanity First branding in political, controversial or offensive contexts.
  • Using Humanity First branding after approval has been withdrawn or where the partnership has ended.

All branding remains the property of Humanity First UK.

4. Reputation Protection

Humanity First UK may immediately suspend or terminate a partnership if a business:

  • Becomes involved in unlawful activity.
  • Becomes subject to regulatory investigation, sanction or serious public criticism.
  • Engages in discriminatory, hateful, unsafe or unethical conduct.
  • Causes or is likely to cause reputational damage to Humanity First UK.

Humanity First UK's decision in such matters shall be final, and the business must promptly stop using Humanity First UK branding or referring to the partnership if asked to do so.

5. Communications and Publicity

Any public announcement, press release, marketing campaign, website content or social media activity referencing the partnership must be approved in writing by Humanity First UK before publication and must be accurate, not misleading, and consistent with any approved wording.

Humanity First UK reserves the right to request the prompt removal or amendment of any communication that could adversely affect its reputation or does not comply with these terms.

6. Donations and Support

Any donations, sponsorships or contributions provided through the partnership are voluntary unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Participation in the Partnership Programme does not oblige either party to provide financial support.

A business must not state or imply that a purchase, promotion, event or customer activity will result in a donation or other contribution to Humanity First UK unless the details have been agreed in writing with Humanity First UK in advance.

7. Termination

Either party may end participation in the Partnership Programme at any time by giving written notice.

Humanity First UK may terminate or suspend participation immediately where it reasonably believes continued association could harm the charity's reputation, values or objectives.

On termination or suspension, the business must stop referring to itself as a Humanity First UK partner and must stop using Humanity First UK branding, unless Humanity First UK confirms otherwise in writing.

8. Limitation of Relationship

Participation in the Partnership Programme:

  • Does not constitute endorsement by Humanity First UK of the business or its products or services.
  • Does not create exclusivity.
  • Does not create legal partnership status, agency or authority to bind Humanity First UK.
  • Does not permit the business to fundraise on behalf of Humanity First UK unless separately agreed in writing.
  • Does not guarantee future collaboration opportunities.

9. Changes to Terms

Humanity First UK reserves the right to update these terms from time to time by publishing the updated version on its website.

Continued participation in the Partnership Programme after the updated terms have been published constitutes acceptance of those updated terms.
