From a Gift of Sight programme that restores sight to thousands, to two orphanages, clean water, medical and dental camps, food security and one of our largest Qurbani distributions, our work in Kenya reaches communities through drought, hardship and everyday need.
In partnership with the Lions SightFirst eye hospital, our medical camps screen more than 2,000 patients and perform over 300 sight-restoring surgeries every year.
Local doctors run regular medical and dental camps, including in the Kibera settlement in Nairobi, treating hundreds of patients free of charge each year.
Around five to eight new solar-powered wells and hand pumps go in each year, with work underway to build many more from next year onward.
We train farmers and provide seeds, fertiliser and fish farming, and install milling machines in villages so communities can process their own harvests.
Clothing, food supplies, essential items and aid for people with disabilities reach the most vulnerable, including families hit hardest by drought and other hardship.
Two orphanages receive regular support with food supplies, learning equipment and the everyday essentials that help children grow up cared for.
