From rural women's cooperatives equipped with grinders, hullers and threshers, to a brand-new Masroor Centre for Healthcare opening its doors in 2025, our Côte d'Ivoire programme is investing in the long-term resilience of communities.
Our Knowledge for Life programme runs three primary schools in Kablan Ahissikro, San Pedro and Zon-hounien, reaching more than 700 children in remote areas. A fourth primary school is planned for 2026, which will support 250+ additional students.
Our Gift of Sight teams screen 300+ eye patients in rural areas every year and perform 30+ sight-restoring surgeries. Global Health medical missions, supported by visiting UK doctors, train local clinicians alongside the care they deliver. Women-led livelihoods are supported through shea nut milling machines, cassava grinders and community gardens, which save women hours of daily labour and generate household income from the produce they sell.
Each school sits in a remote part of Côte d'Ivoire where the nearest classroom would otherwise be hours away. Together they reach more than 700 children today. A fourth school is on track to open in 2026.
