From new water wells in twelve communities to hot meals in Kaloum and a brand-new school opening in 2025, our Guinea programme is building daily dignity, one well, one classroom, one family at a time.
Guinea faces significant development challenges, with high rates of waterborne disease, poor maternal health outcomes and widespread food insecurity affecting millions of its citizens. Humanity First UK focuses its Guinea programme on the areas where investment has the greatest life-saving impact: clean water access, maternal and child healthcare, and food security for the most vulnerable families.
In 2024 our Knowledge for Life programme opened a new primary school near Kindia, which now serves over 300 children from four nearby villages who previously had no access to schooling. Global Health medical missions, supported by visiting UK doctors, train local clinicians alongside the care they deliver. Milling machines, grinders and community gardens give women hours of their day back, and Sisters Around the Globe extends our period-poverty and women's health work into Guinea.
