Although the majority of our work takes place overseas, we are equally committed to people facing hardship right here in the UK. Our foodbanks opened in response to rising food poverty and remain open year-round for families, individuals and households in crisis.
Opened in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mirfield Foodbank was our very first foodbank. It continues to serve families and individuals across West Yorkshire with emergency food parcels, hygiene items, household essentials, and a warm cafe space where people can sit down for a hot drink and a friendly face.
Our second foodbank, based inside the Saddlers Shopping Centre in Walsall, supports hundreds of people every month who are struggling to put food on the table. We provide emergency food parcels, baby supplies, toiletries and household essentials to those in greatest need across the West Midlands.
Both foodbanks gratefully accept donations of long-life food, baby supplies, hygiene items and household essentials. Please call ahead before bringing large donations so we can match what's most needed week to week.
